Commissioned Work

1. Prior to work commencement, a detailed specification and design sheet will be agreed with the customer.
2. All materials requiring purchasing for a commission require payment in advance along with all other external costs i.e. Hallmarking Fees, Insured Carriage costs etc. and such payment constitutes a non-returnable deposit.
3. All commissioned work will be accompanied with a pictorial document of provenance, including the original designs, showing all major steps in it's creation and a valuation for your insurance.

Delay or Cancellation

1. Any dates quoted by TheGoldsmithy for completion of work are approximate only and TheGoldsmithy shall not be liable for any loss whatsoever resulting from failure to meet such dates, although TheGoldsmithy will make every reasonable endeavour to meet such dates.
2. TheGoldsmithy reserve the right to postpone or cancel work at any time.

Payment

1. Payment can be made by Cheque, Bank Transfer, or using most major credit & debit cards through our Paypal gateway. Payment details are as given on the invoice.
2. Final payment becomes due as soon as work is completed, 
3. Payment in full is required before the finished Goods can be taken.
4. If the Customer shall fail to pay all sums due within 6 months of the date of Invoice TheGoldsmithy may forthwith sell the Goods at such price as it in its discretion thinks fit and may retain from the proceeds of sale an amount sufficient to defray the cost of the Goods and storage and expenses incurred in attempting to trace the Customer and in arranging for the sale of the Goods. No interest shall be payable on any balance retained by TheGoldsmithy.

Guarantee

Subject to the following limitations, TheGoldsmithy undertakes to repair free of charge (but otherwise upon the Conditions herein contained) any part of the Goods which, during the twelve months following the Goods collection by or despatch to the Customer, are found to contain defects in materials or workmanship in respect of items made, supplied, repaired or replaced by TheGoldsmithy. This guarantee is limited to the part, or parts of the Goods which TheGoldsmithy has made, supplied, repaired or replaced. This does not apply where damage to the Goods is occasioned by accident, mishandling, or unauthorised modification or repair.
