Glenn Chapman has served in the Goldsmithing trade since 1972. One of the last trained Cartier London apprentices, he worked at Wright and Davies to specialise in watch case making. This expert skill he applies to fine craftsmanship in all areas of jewellery.
Fundamentally trained as a small worker, which is a smith who makes items that do a job. A pen that twists or a cigarette case that opens on a hand-made hinge, by learning the discipline of making moving parts that fit together perfectly you start to understand the role is similar to an engineer who enjoys solving problems and designing solutions using precious materials.

Paul Chapman, an apprentice in his 5th year at the Goldsmithy studied Fine Art, Illustration and Life Drawing at Southampton Solent University. Having been taught carpentry from a young age which developed into high-level house and car renovation it is almost as if the craft of jewellery making was a natural progression. Revelling in the one on one training learning techniques of the trade, he is keen to make his mark by creating unique designs while continuing to learn.
